This is part one of Elite Companies’ review of the 10 stocks in Europe excluding the UK with most Elite Investor backing.

From ‘GRANOLAS’ to the ‘Fantastic 5’, fans of European shares have tried hard to inject the continent’s stock markets with some of the excitement offered by the US – home to FAANGs and the Magnificent Seven.

Citywire Elite Companies has a more prosaic approach. We simply want to know which European stocks, excluding the UK, have most backing from the world’s best portfolio managers – that is, our Elite Investors, all of whom are among the top 3% of the 10,000 equity managers Citywire tracks.
