Arne Slot has led Liverpool to the Premier League title in his first season as manager. The Reds took top spot in September and have been at the summit almost permanently ever since.
The result that sealed it was their 5-1 thrashing over Tottenham on Sunday. The newly-crowned champions went 1-0 down but produced a stunning performance to win at a sold-out Anfield in style.
For a while, it looked as though Liverpool's home match against Arsenal on May 11 could be a title decider. Instead, it may well be an opportunity for the champions to receive a guard of honour from their closest challengers.
We'll have all the reaction right here at Mirror Football as Liverpool begin their celebrations. Stay right here for everything you need.

Guardiola's message to Liverpool
Pep Guardiola had a classy message for Liverpool after Manchester City beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 to move into the FA Cup final.
"Before we start, on behalf of myself and the club we want to congratulate Liverpool for their Premier League victory," he said.
"Well deserved, no doubt about that, a fantastic team. Give me one year, like It happened the last four years and hopefully next season we can do better and compete until the end of the season. Liverpool, congratulations."

20th title
Liverpool have won their 20th top-flight title today, pulling them level with rivals Manchester United.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy told BBC Sport: "It is nice. You want to be the most successful team in the country. But I actually think probably because Liverpool’s success came earlier, Fergie made a thing of that when he came – wanting to match Liverpool’s league titles and overtake it which of course he did.
"I think the great thing about is that Liverpool are now in a position where we’re much more likely than Manchester United to go on and add more titles than them in the next couple of years, and that’s something I think Liverpool fans will be more pleased with."

Salah speaks
Mohamed Salah has showered praise on Arne Slot in an interview with Sky Sports.
“Incredible, incredible," he said. "To win the Premier League here with the fans is something special. You saw that today and you saw it every game.”
Asked how does it compare to five years ago, he replied: “Ah, this is way better 100 per cent. Without Sadio [Mane], without Jurgen [Klopp], without Bobby [Firmino], without everybody it feels more special, with the fans. But you know, you have a different group now, a different manager and you show you are able to do it again - it’s something special.”
On Slot: “I think he was very honest. Quite tough, Dutch, that’s his personality. But he makes our life easier, he ask you immediately what he wants you to do, so that’s what we did and I’m glad that we won it here.”

The champagne is out

Slot thanks Klopp
Arne Slot has been given the microphone and begins by leading a chant to thank Jurgen Klopp.
He then said: "It was clear we couldn't lose this game. Everyone on the bus said there's no way we're going to lose this game. They always find a way to win.
"Incredibly proud, not only of the players but the people standing here, sport directors, my staff members, we should give them a big round of applause. Let's forget it's the second in 35 years, it's the second in five years."

Who gets a medal?
The title is secure and the vast majority of the Liverpool squad will, of course, receive a medal for their efforts.
But there are a few who will miss out, as things stand.

"Champions, champions, champions!"
The players are still out on the pitch celebrating with the fans.

No trophy yet
Liverpool have won the Premier League title - but they will have to wait nearly a month to lift the trophy.
That will come after their final match of the season, against Crystal Palace on May 25. They'll have to stick with the tin foil versions for now.

Slot in esteemed company
Arne Slot has become the fifth manager to win the Premier League in his first season after Jose Mourinho (2004/05 with Chelsea), Carlo Ancelotti (2009/10 with Chelsea), Manuel Pellegrini (2013/14 with Man City) and Antonio Conte (2016/17 with Chelsea). Not bad company.

Special scenes at Anfield
Last time Liverpool won the Premier League title, in 2019/20, they secured the title inside an empty stadium due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
Now they are able to celebrate it properly, inside a packed Anfield. There are special scenes now, with the whole team lined up, arm in arm, singing You'll Never Walk Alone with the fans.

Darwin Nunez has messed this up. He sprints clear on the counter-attack but tries to set up Mo Salah rather than just shoot.
Harvey Elliott's shot is blocked on the second phase. It doesn't matter.
