Ingredients

• 2 eggs, well beaten
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon soft butter
• 1 square grated chocolate
• 1 level tablespoon cinnamon
• 2/3 cup sweet milk
• 3 cups flour
• 2 level teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

1. Beat together the eggs, sugar, butter, chocolate, and cinnamon.
2. Add sweet milk and flour sifted with baking powder.
3. Roll out one-fourth of an inch thick and cut with a doughnut cutter.
4. Cook in a kettle of smoking hot fat.
5. Drop on crumpled unglazed paper to cool.
6. While still hot, roll in powdered sugar.
